Mala first came to the Hamptons in the ‘80s with her husband, whose family had been on the East End since the 1940s. When they moved here full-time in 2000, Mala channeled the marketing and negotiating skills she acquired in her successful career at IBM into her passion for the real estate market. Now, she works with all kinds of clients helping put together the pieces of their unique puzzles, whether that means downsizing or upsizing, buying or selling, for everyone from Hamptons locals to household names from all walks of life. She consistently places in the elite group of the top 200 Agents in the US, according to REAL Trends, a ranking created in partnership with The Wall Street Journal.
Mala takes pride in the relationships she forms with her clients, many who have become repeat customers and friends. She has other interests too; she loves her tranquil, waterfront home in North Haven, where her husband is Mayor. She likes to cook and entertain; she even plays the piano when she has a second. But real estate is her passion. “I like to do the things I’m good at,” she says. “And I’m really good at doing this.”
