Tom grew up in "The Lanes" of Amagansett when there were more potato fields than homes. After graduating from Tufts University, Tom and his wife moved to California, where he worked as a civil engineer and building contractor for several large design-build firms. As a program manager, he oversaw construction projects for a variety of private, municipal and federal clients. Tom returned to the East End in 2004 to become the managing partner and general contractor for a custom-home-building joint venture. Known for his attention to detail and ability to execute, Tom later joined a private property development team in Amagansett, where he worked as the owner's representative for a variety of high-end residential and commercial development projects.
In 2008, Tom accepted a position as head of facilities and manager of stadium operations for a football (soccer) club in England. There, he oversaw multiple multi-million GBP stadium renovation projects and developed key management initiatives and relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to deliver a comprehensive facilities program for the business. After 6 years on this overseas assignment, Tom returned to the East End in February 2014 – with a focus of applying his knowledge to the local real estate industry.
During his downtime, Tom enjoys finding a quiet spot to surf and enjoy the water and the natural beauty of the East End. Those special in his life include his two children, his wife whom he has known since grade school – and the friendships that have developed over the years with his clients and associates in the business
