Ellen Lauinger

Ellen Lauinger's appreciation for Southampton and its surrounding communities stems from over 30 years, as have her passions for real estate, renovation and design. Ellen, who renovated her 1830s farmhouse, always had a knack for decorating as well as a deep-rooted interest in the diversity of the area's architecture. Laughingly, she remembers how happy her two grown children were when she started selling real estate and finally had a "legitimate" reason to fulfill her curiosity for scoping out properties. 

Her creative flair and vast market knowledge are just part of what lends to Ellen's success as a residential specialist. She is also a people person in every sense of the word and would much rather return a phone call or meet someone face to face than send an email or text message. Her vibrant personality, gift for working well with people and talent for matching them with wonderful properties further enhance Ellen's effectiveness in her work each day. "Great service is the most important thing I can offer " says Ellen, "and I strive to provide nothing less. I enjoy working with a select group of customers so I can spend more time on their needs assuring the utmost attention and results they deserve."

A native New Yorker, Ellen grew up on Long Island and raised her children in Manhattan, where she retains an apartment on the Upper East Side. After college she entered the high-profile world of advertising and marketing, first working for several magazines, then ultimately for Southampton Hospital in special events fundraising. Part of Ellen's responsibilities entailed helping to coordinate the biggest annual social event on the East End, "Summer Party," which through her and her team's efforts ultimately doubled the amount of funds raised to $1.5 million a year.

Outside of work, Ellen enjoys spending time in the city as much as she does on the beach or bike riding in the Hamptons. She is a member of the New York Junior League.
