Alexis Mayer's stellar real estate career is due not only on her extensive knowledge of the East End market having lived between Southampton and Montauk for many years, but on her seasoned three-decade-long foundation of experience designing, renovating and building homes in Southampton, Manhattan and California.
That, coupled with her impressive industry expertise is Alexis' exceptional interpersonal flair, keen eye for design, and innate creativity in spotting and optimizing a home's potential. She is a real people person works hard for her customers and is easy to get along with.
Her success is further fueled by her impressive business acumen as former owner of Dickinson Multiple Artists, a company headquartered in New York City's wonderful Flatiron Building. Alexis represented over 30 international fashion photographers, for Spiegel and J.C. Penney's, which allowed her the opportunity to travel the world in search of the right models and locations.
Born in New Mexico and raised in Florida, Alexis has resided in various places including Pennsylvania where she earned her BA from Wilkes College, in Venice Italy where she earned her Master of Fine Arts degree through NYU, in Manhattan where she worked for many years. She can honestly say that the East End is paradise for her, and that she truly enjoys helping customers find the home that makes them as content.
While she loves her work, Alexis also believes in giving back to one's community. She has been involved in numerous charitable organization. Donating time to Southampton Food Pantry and at their Polar Bear Plunge, co chair on the steering committee for the Spring Fling at The Parrish Art Museum, and Southampton Rotarian's where she is attendance secretary. In the Democratic Club she is secretary and collects signatures in her election district to get candidates on the ballot. She finds time to collect clothing for, and to feed the homeless at Maureen's Haven.
She is married 31 years and they have one son who has recently bought his own home in Southampton with his long time girlfriend. He surfs and works at Zabis.
She has a wonderful book club. She does find time to entertain at home, has a group of women foodies known as the Kayak Goddesses. She ADORES movies- and meeting friends in the City for Theater- so she is not all work and no play.
